it should be noted that this picture was taken at approx. 3 a.m. while camping out in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles for a sunrise Bon Iver concert. i was a little bit restless/cold/too sober to properly appreciate the screening of Planet Earth sans narration that was playing.
My name is Sarah Hardy. I’m a sophomore journalism major at Humboldt State University in northern California…aka the redwood wilderness. I really got into photography…I guess during my sophomore year of high school after I developed my own film for the first time. Unfortunately I don’t have the chance to do that anymore but I still work primarily with film. My favorite camera is a Zeiss Ikon Contina II from the 50′s that my grandpa used when he was working in Angola. Out of the ten cameras I own right now three are digital. Right now I’m working primarily with my Nikon D90 with a 17-200mm zoom lens.
On a different note…and some typical things one might write about on an “about me” page is that I love indie music. I don’t play music myself…I played the violin for about six years until I got sick of classical music. I plan on getting an internship with the AP sometime during college, I’m going to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst next year as part of the National Student Exchange Program. I plan on traveling extensively after college as I have few job prospects. I haven’t given up hope that print is dead.
